being so bored of knitting the hubs jumper {having missed the christmas deadline i had moved it to valentines day - hum, maybe his birthday in August is looking more promising} i really needed a quick pick me up knitting project, these little chunky mittens were the perfect thing, they knitted up so quickly, the pattern was very easy to follow & the yarn was nice & soft to work with too! pattern details found here
I much prefer quick projects - at least your husband won't grow out of unfinished knitting, sadly has happened far to often with knitting for my kids!
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable and JUST what I needed! Little Miss keeps losing her mittens and I hear a cold snap is on the way for us! Thanks for the link to the pattern :)
ReplyDeleteI knit my littlest one a pixie hat using this wool, she's been wearing it since she was six months old and she's now three!! It just seems to keep on stretching!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link for the flannel suppliers in your quilting post, I've been desperate to find flannel in colours other than cream!

I love the colours!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable! Your quilts are amazing. I believe I need to follow you to gather enough inspiration to start or finish some of my own many projects :)
ReplyDeleteHappy February!

ReplyDelete(although I'm not sure I'd want to do it all again...
These little mittens are fab! My daughter's Great-Granny is a demon knitter and has knitted a little cardi in this wool for her which always gets loads of compliments when she wears it.
ReplyDeleteGosh, you do make some lovely things, the mitts are lovely, as are the socks and quilt you've just finished too....how nice to be able to turn your hand to so many lovely things!
