the good & the bad

okay, i'll start with the bad, the house we were buying has now well & truly fallen through, i'd be lying if i  said i wasn't rather gutted by the whole thing, but i'm really trying not to dwell & besides i've got plenty to keep myself from getting too glum about it all

having just finished Colette's hat (which i will post about it when i know it has arrived safely with her) i have moved on to making a few christmas things,

speaking of which i'd better get back to the sewing machine whilst i've got the chance

  1. Oh - I am so sorry as I know how much it meant.

Love the look of the hat by the way.

  2. Oh no that's terrible news I am sorry. But I am sure there is a better house out there for you....things happen for a reason and all that.

ooo this Christmas sewing looks interesting!

    Keep chipper

  3. I understand it very well. My partner and I were once in love with a house here in Holland. It was an hour drive to that house, and on the winterday when we went up there to tell them we wanted to buy it, the car broke down. It was towed away and then the agent called and the house was sold.
We were disapointed but kept on looking and then found a house that was even better for us. So we were a bit grateful for our cartroubles.
Hope this story will help you a little...
things happen for a reason indeed.

  4. I was so sorry to hear about the house, but the more life goes on, the more Ido truly believe that even the crappiest things in life turn out to have happened for a reason, so hold tight.

Can't wait to see Collette's hat! xx

  5. Sorry about the house :( House-buying in England is so precarious.

    PS I love your blog!

  6. So sorry to hear about the house, but I think it's true - things happen for a reason. The perfect house will be waiting for you when the time is right.

I just posted about my gorgeous hat. I love it!
    Thank you so much xx

  7. Dont be sad , it happened for a reason you will find something even better. It happened to us twice and we now have the most fabulous home
