time flies

& we have indeed been having fun

camp bestival was a blast, 

we all had a great time

(& the noro shawl got lots of use by both me & the little folks

upon return i had a 5th birthday party to prepare for, big G turned 5 whilst we were camping so he had a party this week for him, 

as per usual i decided to make the party bags the day before (yes all 20 of them)

the party was a great success & the bags went down well (may have been helped by the sweets they contained)  - made up the pattern myself & used some ikea fabric i had stashed a year or  two ago

i'm away visiting my folks with the little ones this weekend, hoping to find some time for a little quiet knitting! back next week

*i've not forgotten about the give-away i promised- i just need some time to get round to organising it!*

a little quickie

what do you do when you should be doing something else? 

sew of course

i should be packing / shopping for our family trip here

but instead i made a very quick cover for my new camera strap! used up a few scraps & made the rest up as i went along, i would do it differently if i ever get round to making another one, but this will brighten up my camera for now, now back to the packing

time flies

it really does when you're having fun! we've spent the weekend at 'camp bestival' at lulworth castle in dorset, & what great fun it was, being the first time we've taken the little people camping (& camping at a festival of all places) can't wait to go back next year.
two of my favourite parts of the festival - don't think they need much explanation.

lot's of knitting going on, just not enough time to take photos, i also had my birthday & was given lot's of lovely presents, (mostly wool & fabric related so will be back to show you more soon.)

this week however i'll be preparing for big G's birthday party, so busy busy busy!
