KCWC SPRING 2012 - PART THREE

okay my last project for the KCWC was this little wrap dress, a rather impromptu project, i'd planned to make this a while ago & had the pattern cut out & stuck together an age ago, again i grabbed fabric from my stash, the cream needle cord had been left over from the swing coat i'd made a while back & the dotty cotton was from fabric land in brighton {again brought a while ago} the pattern was from Heidi & Finn, & was easy & straight froward to follow, it all came together quickly & there weren't any really tricky bits, i made the 3/4T size, which has room to grow on little O {at just over three & a half} i tweaked it a little, made the sleeves much shorter {but wish i'd made them a little shorter still!} added a sweet little pocket & didn't bother with the contrasting strips at the bottom of the dress {if i  had i think it would have made the dress too long for her} my version is also not reversible

i had planned to make more last week but am really quite pleased with what i achieved & am already planning the next sewing project{s}

  1. Wow, you are like a steam train this week!! Your projects are just whizzing off the sewing machine!

    Especially love this creation, I love needlecord and I absolutely adore the bright orange stitching detail.

    Have a lovely week.
    Happy Sewing.

  2. Gorgeous, love the fabrics used especailly as they aren't typical girly fabrics.
    My 2 year old has hit the pink stage I'm already struggling with it as I'm such not a 'pink' person but I wonder if I let her embrace it she'll get over it quicker!
    looking forward to seeing what you sew next!

  3. Your little garments really are inspiring - I have been busy making dresses too, but I just love the patterns that you use - they are just that little bit different xxx
